What is Infernal Uprising?

Infernal Uprising is an NFT card-game, now on ShimmerEVM. The game consists of three core elements:

The Game

Infernal Uprising is a free-to-play NFT card-game based on the 72 demons of King Solomon that were described in the 17th century black-magic book “Lesser Key of Solomon”.

How to Play

Two players create decks consisting of 5 cards, each card is characterized by battle points. These battle points indicate on all 4 sides of each card (up, down, left and right) the card’s attack & defense values.

Matches are played on a 3x3 tiled playing field where the players take turns in placing their cards. If a card is placed next to an opponent's card it can capture ("flip") this card by having higher battle points on the side facing the opponent's card. Once the playing field is filled the game ends and the player with more cards in their possession wins!

Optional rules like elements, explosive combos and wrapped borders continue to create new, mind-bending scenarios and strategies.

The NFTs

A total of 72 demonic NFTs await you, each unlocking a corresponding demon card within the game to use in your matches.

You can buy Infernal Uprising NFTs in booster-packs where you receive several random NFTs at once – each NFT is assigned one of the five rarity-levels (one-star being the most common NFTs, five stars being exceedingly rare).

NFT-Fusing and the $FUSE Token

Witness a new, first of its kind NFT collection mechanic: NFT-fusing! Burn two NFTs of the same rarity-level for a chance to receive one NFT of the next highest rarity-level.

But be careful, if the fusing-operation is not successful (determined by chance), you will not receive a new NFT and instead receive $FUSE tokens! These tokens can be used to increase your fusing success chance in your next try (to up to 100% possible) or you can trade them on DeFi platforms!

Fusing is the only way to mint any of the 7 Fuse-exclusive NFTs.

Own Your Demons

Infernal Uprising NFTs allow you to fully own and control your demonic playing cards. Each demon NFT that you hold in your crypto wallet while playing Infernal Uprising can be part of your playing card deck and add its hellish powers to your game.

You can unlock even more demon cards for free simply by playing Infernal Uprising! Fighting battles in the game will over time add new cards to your in-game inventory and unlock new cosmetics and game modes! (Note that these free cards are not NFTs).

Introducing: NFT Fusing

For the first time on Shimmer. Burn your cards to create new ones!

Infernal Uprising features a completely new way to receive the most rare and even exclusive demon NFTs: The Fusing Operation! You will be able to burn two NFTs of the same rarity (for example two 1-star NFTs) in order to have a chance for receiving one NEW NFT of the next higher rarity (in this example: a new 2-star NFT). These new NFTs have an extremely increased chance to be a rare demon of that next rarity level. Some Infernal Uprising NFTs can ONLY be created via fusing.

However, if your fusing operation is not successful (which will be determined by chance, using on-chain randomness), your NFTs will still be burned, but instead of a new NFT you will receive $FUSE tokens. These can be used in your next fusing operation to strongly increase your success chances! By using enough $FUSE tokens in a fusing operation you can increase your success chance to up to 100%.
